Our Story
Nestled on this picturesque estate, our venue boasts a rich history. Originally a hobby farm with a stunning main house, the property was once home to a prominent businessman who owned one of the local marinas in Wilmington. After his passing, the property was transformed by his brother, a skilled craftsman, who built the beautiful carriage house and hand-built the main house, utilizing reclaimed hardwoods from an 18th-century church in South Carolina.
In the late 1980s, our property played host to the iconic film 'Driving Miss Daisy,' as the producers fell in love with the property's charm and character. Over the years, the estate continued to evolve, with the addition of a picturesque red barn, a testament to the passion for equine life. Today, we are proud to preserve this legacy, offering our beautiful wedding venue to couples seeking a unique and unforgettable experience.
